CN V, the trigeminal n. has 3 main divisions:
CN V1, the ophthalmic n.
CN V2, the maxillary n.
CN V3, the mandibular n.
The trigeminal n. is the main sensory nerve of the face, both the skin of the face and the oral and nasal cavities, and the paranasal sinuses. CN V3 also contains motor fibers that innervate the muscles of mastication.
