Reunion Class Gift & Participation Committees

The Reunion Gift Committee is an important group of alumni volunteers who serve in various roles to encourage philanthropic participation in the Reunion Class Gift through the Brown Annual Fund, inspiring classmates to reconnect with each other and the university during the Reunion year. Approximately 200 Volunteers across all reunion years join this impactful effort.

Reunion volunteers are invited to attend special training and programming, as well as other events and insider calls to inspire and motivate efforts throughout the year. All volunteers are asked to contribute to their Reunion Class gift to showcase class participation and support current students and essential programs vital to upholding the University's mission. 

Volunteers reach out to other classmates on the giving days and during other peak times to encourage support of the Reunion Class Gift which is celebrated over Reunion Weekend. Volunteers may also serve as signers for class mailings or emails, host pre-reunion celebrations, recruit other classmates to participate, and collaborate with staff to forge meaningful philanthropic and alumni engagement with classmates. Volunteers are invited to participate in conference calls, promote class events including Reunion Weekend through the volunteer outreach portal, personal phone calls, emails, and social media. A variety of roles provide different opportunities for alumni to use their talents to contribute to a successful Reunion effort for their class and Brown!

Are members of the College Hill Society with a documented planned gift to Brown and serve as a resource to classmates

Planned Giving Chairs

Are leadership donors who are also members of the College Hill Society with a documented planned gift to Brown and who actively inspire others to consider this legacy contribution opportunity

An honorary status is offered for leadership roles when volunteers would like to demonstrate philanthropic leadership but are unable to participate in outreach and activities.

• Familiarize yourself with the Brown Annual Fund.

• Invite friends to join you on the Class or Reunion Gift Committee.

• Log into your Brown account and make sure your account information is up to date. Or, create your Brown account and password if you don’t have one. Please contact your staff liaison if you need assistance logging in.

• Join your class’s social media pages  or BrownConnect+ to stay up to date on all reunion, class, and Brown events and programming.

• Review the Volunteer Timeline and mark your calendars for giving days and special events.
