Fund Descriptors

Use descriptors to help create your own appeal or edit one of ours to better represent what areas at Brown are most meaningful to you.

The Brown Fund. With your gift, you provide vital, flexible funds that support the University where it’s most needed. From academics to campus-wide programs to life-changing financial aid, your support of The Brown Fund impacts virtually every part of the Brown experience.

the Brown Medical Annual Fund (BMAF). With your gift, you enhance the medical education Warren Alpert Medical School students receive as they train to become the physician-leaders of tomorrow. BMAF also bolsters the Advancing Diversity in Medicine Term Scholarship, which provides financial aid for students underrepresented in medicine.

the Brown Engineering Annual Fund. With your gift, you power cutting-edge learning experiences, fuel advancements in research, and create an environment that welcomes budding engineers from all backgrounds.

the Brown Public Health Annual Fund. With your gift you continue to shape a vision for the future–fueling cutting-edge collaborative research, improving information ecosystems, better understanding the catastrophic threat of pandemics, and training the public health leaders of tomorrow.

the IPC Brown Annual Fund Scholarship. With your gift, you help foster academic excellence at Brown by cultivating a diverse and inclusive community of scholars. Gifts to this fund provide financial support for the demonstrated need of exceptional African American and Black undergraduates.

the BrownConnect Fund. With your gift you provide students with the funds necessary to pursue career-launching internship, research, and service opportunities that further their academic and professional goals while solving real-world problems.

the Campus Sustainability Fund. With your gift, you support the implementation of renewable energy sources and other climate-focused initiatives, aiding Brown in its mission to create a carbon neutral campus and a more sustainable future.

the Pathways to Diversity & Inclusion Fund. With your gift, you help create a learning and living environment in which students from all backgrounds can thrive at Brown. Your partnership supports programs and spaces that foster an inclusive campus and new initiatives that strengthen Brown’s recruitment efforts.

the BUSF Athletics Annual Fund. Support Brown’s student-athletes through the Athletics Director’s Excellence Fund or by contributing to an individual athletic team annual fund.
