As weather starts to warm up this spring, please take a minute to check your child's short/dress length. Remember, all bottoms should be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Please also check that your child is bringing a water bottle to school to help with keeping them in the classroom as much as possible :)
Home Support:
What is AASA?
The Arizona Academic Standards Assessment is the standardized test each student in the state is required to take in the spring. This test starts in the 3rd grade, which means your child will be taking it for the first time this year! This is a BIG test and very important, especially this year for the ELA portion of the test. While we don't want to stress the students out, it's important to emphasize how important this test is. We've been talking about it in class and will be doing prep, but support at home in reminding your child to do their best to prepare is also beneficial!
Virtue Focus: Love of Country
This week we'll be focusing on patriotism and how we can be proud of our country by cheering for her in events, flying flags, and being proud to be an American! The Olympics is a great place to encourage your child to cheer for our country as well as the upcoming NASA mission to the moon!
