Announcements for this Week:
As weather starts to warm up this spring, please take a minute to check your child's short/dress length. Remember, all bottoms should be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
Please be sure your child is bringing a water bottle to school! There are a lot of students not bringing one and needing to ask to go get water quite often during learning time. We want your child in the room as much as possible so they're able to learn as much as possible!
Students should wear white or light colored shirts for PE days (Wednesday and Fridays) for neon glow bowling!
March 4 is our Literature Day Parade! Please see the flyer that went home for information, but make sure your child is wearing a costume that is appropriate for school
There will be a Literature Week spirit week next week!

Tuesday- wear red
Wednesday- literature costume

Friday- cozy clothes!
March 6 is a HALF DAY and begins spring break! NO SCHOOL from March 9-20

Home Support:
What is AASA?
The Arizona Academic Standards Assessment is the standardized test each student in the state is required to take in the spring. This test starts in the 3rd grade, which means your child will be taking it for the first time this year! This is a BIG test and very important, especially this year for the ELA portion of the test. While we don't want to stress the students out, it's important to emphasize how important this test is. We've been talking about it in class and will be doing prep, but support at home in reminding your child to do their best to prepare is also beneficial!
Virtue Focus: Love of Country
This week we'll be discussing various jobs of government officials and how we can support those who serve our nation through government work, being first responders, or the military!
