Greetings Creekside Middle School Community,

Mrs. Ansel and I cannot believe we are already in the 4th quarter of the school year. I want to take a moment to compliment you and your child(ren) on navigating this year alongside our school team. There have been so many things we have all learned about education, teaching and learning, and who we are as individual learners.

Many of my friends asked whether or not middle school students would maintain social distancing, abide by the district mask guidelines, etc. I always responded that we have GREAT students and our families are so supportive. Thank you for your support and efforts. We appreciate you so much!

As a reminder, our Cardinals learning through the blended model (attending school on campus) will be at home participating in remote learning on Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th. Our Cardinals who are learning on the virtual platform will be on site both days for their state testing. The testing schedule for our 5th and 6th grade Cardinals learning on the blended model (attending school on campus) is:

Tuesday, April 13th - English and Writing

Wednesday, April 14th - Reading

Tuesday, April 20th - Math

Wednesday, April 21st - Science

Parents often ask me what I communicate to my own daughter about her state testing. She is a junior in high school now. She does not take the ACT Aspire, but she is taking the ACT. I have always asked her to do her best. This is the message - give it your best. The teachers have worked hard. The students have worked hard. As parents, you have worked hard, too!

Students communicating they have done their best after each test is a goal. We are communicating this message to the students at school. We hope you will join us by supporting this message at home.
