College world series 2019

Everyone loves the college world series in Omaha. The college world series tests how determined you are to win. The number 1 seed is obviously is favored to win. The PAC 12 has 4 teams in the world series. UCLA, Stanford, Oregon State, and Cal. If Oregon State and UCLA win their bracket, then one of them will at least represent the PAC 12 in omaha. The Beavers won the title last year, can they do it again; or will they choke against a team we don’t now. Vanderbilt has been playing great so they probably have the best odds of beating UCLA. But that's what tournaments are, they’re for whoever has the best will to win.
SEC Baseball Tournament

The SEC baseball tournament is amazing. There is a lot of good baseball teams in the SEC. A lot of teams in the SEC are in the top 25 in the college division 1 baseball standings. The number 2 seed, Vanderbilt, has only 10 losses and is in the SEC. They are favored to win this tournament and maybe the college world series. Arkansa and Georgia are all in the top 8. They need to get into the college world series. If any of the teams in the SEC lose early, they might give up their spot in the college world series. Vanderbilt still has a shot to get the number one seed, so they can not lose or there shot for the number 1 seed is gone. Well, good luck to these teams and may the best team win.
Oregon State in 12th Place

Oregon State is a high powering baseball program. They previously won the college baseball world series. They were in third place but lost four straight games. Three of them to Oklahoma State. They are on a losing streak. They need to win these 3 games against the Ducks or they might be out of the top that make it to the college world series. But the Beavers have a lot of experience being down, so definitely do not count them out. The Beavers have lost one game to the Ducks this year so the Ducks might be after something. Who knows, but the Beavers definitely need the wins against the Ducks or it might be too late to save themselves.
Oregon Ducks Spring Game

The Oregon spring game was awesome. It was a way for the coaches to see how their team was going to be this year. Without Donovan Mitchell, it gives Herbert some choices on who to pass to. The green team won the game 20 to 13 but it was a great game. The yellow team was just as great, but couldn't get that extra to send them to a tie, but now the coaches have a good understanding on which players are good to play. Good luck Ducks next year.
Kyle Murray Goes Number 1

Kyle Murray, from Oklahoma, went number 1 in the NFL draft. Kyle played for Oklahoma won the Heisman Trophy in 2018. He went number 1 to the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona traded Josh Rosen and got the elite quarterback, Kyle Murray. Kyle Murray is only 5 foot 10, but is a amazing athlete.
Kyle Murray can hit people no matter where they are on the field. He is very patient, so that helps with getting the right pass, but if he doesn't, he is super fast and quick so he can get around players. Good luck this year Kyle Murray and the Cardinals.
Division 1 baseball standings updated

The Division 1 baseball standings are really close. The Pac 12 is dominating right now; the top 3 teams are UCLA, Oregon State, and Stanford. They are all doing well, and Arizona State is number 15 so they have a chance for all four Pac 12 teams to go to the college World Series. If the standings stay the way they are, the 8 teams will be UCLA, Oregon State, Stanford, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Texas, Louisville and Arkansas. The bottom half of the top 15 definitely look like they have a chance to get in there, so all the teams need to start winning. These are the standings for this week.
College Baseball Division 1 Standings

Right now, the number 1 team in college baseball is UCLA, the University of Central Los Angeles. The top 3 are: # 1 UCLA, # 2 Georgia, and # 3 NC State. The Oregon State Beavers are in 4th, but they were the 2018 NCAA Division 1 Champions. They lost a bunch of good players to the MLB, but they do have the projected number 1 player in the draft, Adly Rutchmen. They are in the running of the College World Series, so they still just need to keep winning games. The bottom of the top 15 need to start picking up wins and need the top to to start losing or else they aren't going to make it to the college world series. Good luck to the teams.
2019 Final Four Champs

The 2019 NCAAB champions are for the men's the Virginia Cavaliers and for the women’s Baylor Bears. Let’s start with the women’s team.
Baylor took down Notre Dame for the finals by one. Baylor and Notre Dame were close the entire game, but then Baylor hit a layup by there star point guard. Then, Baylor fouled Notre Dame sending, them to tie the game. But they missed a layup, so they were down one. Baylor then ran out the clock making them the NCAAB champions.
Then on the men’s side, Virginia took down Texas Tech in the final game. Virginia had a close game with Texas Tech. It was a battle to the end and it went into overtime. Then, Virginia came out in overtime and started making a run and Texas Tech could not come back, making the Virginia men’s team, and the Baylor's women’s team the 2019 NCAAB champs. Congrats to both teams and good luck next year.
2019 Final Four

The 2019 Final Four is in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The four teams are: Texas Tech, Michigan State, Virginia, and Auburn. Texas Tech played Michigan State on March 28, and Texas won 63 to 44. Virginia will play Auburn April 6th, at 3:09 Pacific Standard Time. All these teams worked hard to get there.
Michigan State took out the favored Duke, and Texas Tech took out the number 1 seed, Gonzaga. Auburn took out the number 1 seed North Carolina, then took out the number 2 seed, Kentucky. Virginia took out the number 3 seed Purdue. Both of these games are going to be good. All these teams want to win but it's going to be who wants the game more, and that team will most likely win the NCAA Championship. Good luck to all these teams and I hope they win.
Oregon Ducks to Final Four

This past weekend the Oregon Ducks woman punched a ticket to the final four. The women's final four games are in tampa bay florida. They had to play a very tough Mississippi State team. Mississippi state had a girl that was 6 foot 7 and that is very tall. But the Ducks had a ultra-superstar Sabrina Inoscu. She made almost everything she was a great teammate and could score the ball. She also had some back up with her teammate Satu Sabbally. She had a great game and together they scored a total of 53 points out of their 88 points. They held the 6 foot 7 girl from Mississippi State to only 19 points which was incredible. Overall, Oregon played a better game sending them to the final four.
Pac 12 tournament 2019

From March 13th through March 16th, the pac 12 tournament will be going on. The first round on March 13th went on and here are the teams that won: Colorado beat California 56 to 51, UCLA beat Stanford 79 to 72, USC beat Arizona 78 to 65, and last, Oregon beat Washington state 84 to 51.
The second round of the tournament was on Thursday, March 14th. The first round bye teams had to come into the game without experience while the other teams came in with some experience. Washington struggled but still got their win over USC 78 to 75. Arizona State pulled away from UCLA 83 to 72. Colorado pulled in upset a beat the Beavers 73 to 58. The Oregon ducks also upset Utah 66 to 54.
In the semifinals, Washington beat Colorado 66 to 61 and the Ducks beat Arizona State, sending them to play Washington. This game was going to be great. Oregon played out of there mind and beat Washington 68 to 48, punching their ticket to the NCAA tournament.
Duke vs North Carolina

Duke vs North Carolina took place on February 20, 2019. Duke ranked number 1 in the country and North Carolina was 8th in the country. North Carolina and Duke have been rivals for a long time, so this was going to be a good game. Duke’s star freshman, Zion Williamson, was 30 seconds into the game when he split his shoe and got a knee injury.
Luke Maye, of North Carolina, took advantage of the Zion injury and scored 30 points and had 15 rebounds. After the Zion injury, North Carolina pounded duke in the key, and out of the 88 points they had, 64 of them were in the key. Rj Barrett, another one of dukes stars, scored 32 points and had 13 rebounds.
Over all, North Carolina beat Duke 88 to 72 and was a very upsetting since Duke had home court advantage. Duke dropped to 3rd and North Carolina went up to 5th in the country.
Washington vs Arizona State

On February 9th, the Arizona State Sun Devils played the Washington Huskies. The Huskies were undefeated in Pac-12 games going into Arizona State. Arizona state was 7-3 going into this game. A big key factor to this game was that Washington shot 31% of their shots while Arizona State shot 61% of their shots. Washington did not have a lot of points in the key while Arizona State had a lot of points in the key which is critical in a basketball game.
Also, Washington got out rebounded by almost 20 points, which is almost 20 more possessions for Arizona State. Washington shot a lot of three pointers and missed many of them, and for Arizona State many of their shots came from inside the paint. Arizona State made more shots, and that's why Arizona State won by 12 points-75 to 63-and took Washington's undefeated record to 1 loss.

Top 5 showdown in college basketball

On February 16, 2019, the Kentucky Wildcats took on the Tennessee Volunteers. The college basketball game took place in Kentucky. Tennessee was ranked number one and Kentucky was ranked number five in the country, making it a top five showdown. The game tipped off at about 5pm pacific time. Kentucky sped out into a early lead and maintained that lead for the whole game. The final score being 86 to 69. Part of the reason Kentucky won was because they had home court advantage.
With a top five showdown the home crowd got very loud. Kentucky also out-rebounded Tennessee by 13. That means Kentucky had 13 more possessions than Tennessee. Part of the reason Tennessee lost was they shot a lot of 3 pointers and missed a lot too. They shot 28% from the 3 point line. And Kentucky settled from inside the key, which made easy baskets for the Kentucky Wildcats. In the end, Kentucky won the games which sent Tennessee to 5th rank and Kentucky went to the 4th rank in the country.
