Snapchat Face Filter Update

If you haven't already heard Snapchat has updated their face filters and added more of them. The update came on May 13th, 2019. The face filter update consisted of a baby face filter, a man face filter, and a woman face filter. The baby face filter makes the users face look just like a little baby's face or a much younger version of what the user is supposed to look like. This is the same with the male and female face filters. If a man uses the woman face filter his face will look much more feminine and he will look like a woman. If a woman uses the man face filter she will look much more masculine or look a lot like a man. I personally haven’t used any of these face filter nor do I plan on using these face filters but this is pretty creative and also pretty funny.

James Charles VS. Tati Westbrook: The Vitamin Scandal

Also, I was a bit biased, so please pay attention to the information, and form your own opinions by watching said videos.

Many people know the very famous 19 year old millionaire and Youtube beauty guru, James Charles. James is a extremely successful makeup artist and has partnerships and sponsor deals with many big brands and very famous people. James Charles has partnerships with brands such as Morphe, Sugar Bear Hair, Covergirl, Kylie Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and he even has his own clothing line. He is friends with Jeffree Star, Tati Westbrook, Ariana Grande, The Dolan Twins, and many of the Kardashians. However, during a recent music festival called Coachella, James had a security team made up of people who worked for Sugar Bear Hair. A vitamin company that was a fierce competitor with Tati Westbrook’s own brand, Halo Beauty. James Charles knew about this rivalry, but continued to betray someone who he called, "A mother figure for me." Since Tati had figured out all of this soon after Coachella, she felt betrayed and like he had "worked me," saying she felt manipulated by Charles.

James made an 8 minute public apology video to Tati and her husband May 11th. The day before that, Tati posted a 43 minute video titled, "Bye Sister," targeting James' million dollar catch phrase. It's clear Tati is beyond ready to cut ties with James Charles, as are millions of his previous superfans. Since this scandal surfaced, James has lost roughly 3 million subscribers and has been unfollowed by huge names like Jeffree Star, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and all the Kardashians. Meanwhile Tati has gained more than 5 million subscribers in the last week. Through all this pain the Westbrooks have faced, Tati has a stronger fan base, while James' team of "sisters" is crumbling to nothing.

Many famous news websites such as Buzzfeed, Vox, and even the New York Times have said James went from "Coverboy" to "Cancelled." It is now been made clear that he cannot be trusted as an adult and many have said that he is a villian of the youtube community. Many believed it would be hard for James Charles to ever get back to where he was, if he even can.

But Saturday, James posted a now deleted video titled, ¨No More Lies¨ which reached over 20 million likes in the short time it was public on youtube. Charles tried his best to be factual and use evidence, though he already made an apology video this one was his way of defending his reputation, and it´s kinda working. Many ¨sisters¨ have re-subscribed to James seeing both sides of the story, and while twitter was a storm of messages between Charles, Jeffree Star, Tati, and many more, it seems things have calmed down, but I doubt this war is close to ending.

The Amount of Air in a Chip Bag

You might have heard many people say “Chips are good but the bag is filled with so much air that it’s not worth the money.” There are supposed to be about 850 chips in a normal sized bag of chips, most bags of chips have about 55-65% of air in their bags. That means that there is about 6% air per chip. The air to chip ratio is 6 to 1 meaning that every time you buy a bag of chips you’re paying full price for half 55-65% of the bag being air. In my opinion I think this is a complete waste of money and that the price of chips should be lowered since a 24oz bag of Cheetos is about $3.50.

Logan Paul makes Diss Track against a Coyote

On April 8, 2019, Logan Paul’s dog, King Kong the Savage Pom, (or Kong for short) passed away from being attacked by a coyote. Logan Paul has had Kong since May 1, 2017. Kong had his own instagram and racked up almost three million followers in his lifetime. If you don’t know who Logan Paul is, he’s a 24 year old multimillionaire and is a Youtuber/Actor.

Logan Paul had security footage of two coyotes who had attacked Kong at his home in Los Angeles, California. Logan decided that he was going to upload this video to his Instagram story. Logan Paul has a very large following on Instagram that consists of almost 16 million followers. Getting back to Kong, Logan wrote in an Instagram post “Despite his savagery, he didn’t stand a chance.” Kong’s Instagram page was taken down then recreated and his page is a memorial image of Kong. Logan’s video of Kong being attacked has four million views and has, “brought the Maverick gang closer together.”

Since Logan Paul will do anything to stay relevant, he’s decided that he’s going to make a diss track against coyotes. If your like me, you might have thought this was all a publicity stunt since his career had been downhill since the beginning of 2018, but unfortunately it's not.

Upgraded Airpods with Wireless Charging

If you haven’t already heard, Apple released a new and improved version of the original Airpods on March 28, 2019. The new Airpods doesn’t have a new name and still goes by Airpods. Most people have called them Airpods 2 which would be a pretty fitting name since they are second generation Airpods. The only new addition to the Airpods is that the Airpod case can now be charged wirelessly. According to Apple: “The new AirPods, complete with Wireless Charging Case deliver the wireless headphone experience, reimagined.” If you asked me my opinion on the new Airpods, I would probably say that “The new feature is kind of meaningless, especially for the price.” The price of the “old” Airpods is $150 which is still a lot of money for a pair of cordless headphones. With the new feature (Wireless Charging) the price has inflated by $50 making the new retail price $200.

Phones Are Bad and Here’s Why

In my opinion, phones are bad for people to use and here’s why. Many people would disagree with my opinion and say that smartphones are a “revolution” and “help us out quite a lot” ,but the problem with that is smartphones cause a quite a lot of mental and physical health issues. One of the first issues smartphones cause is called “Nomophobia" which stands for “No mobile phone phobia." Nomophobia is a form of separation anxiety that is caused when a phone is taken away or the battery dies.

The second issue is that smartphones are changing our brain chemistry and attention span. “In addition to shortening your attention span, media multitasking can change the physical structure of your brain.” Last but not least, the third issue is that most people can suffer from “cell phone elbow”, which is caused by your elbows being constantly bent. Cell phone elbow is classified as Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. In conclusion, smartphones aren’t very great for children to use.

The Tea Of Social Media

If you're a frequent user of Instagram you might have noticed a new option on your story settings. If you don't know what I'm talking about, there's an option to post to your story, but only your close friends would see what you have on your story. Usually, when there is a green circle around someone's profile pic that means you're one of their close friends list. I had to draw the green circle since I posted on my close friends list, but that's sort of what it would look like. This option was added on the app on December 22, 2018. Some people might think Instagram might have copied Snapchat with this new feature. Snapchat had originally come out with this update on February 22, 2018.
