Recognise inappropriate content/contact/ conduct.
Identify a range of ways to report it.
Give a basic overview of what computer viruses are and how they can affect the way a computer operates.
Recognise that viruses rarely install themselves and are instead installed by tricking a user into clicking a link or opening a file. These are often distributed by email.
Pupils understand that they should never click a link or open an attachment from a sender they don’t know. They may also have a basic understanding of anti-virus software.
Understand how seemingly innocent personal information may be pieced together to build up a bigger picture of an individual's life. The CEOP produced video 'jigsaw' can be a useful resource for this topic.
