Computing at Avondale
Digital Leaders are a group of Year 5 & 6 pupils who love everything about technology. They are keen to learn new things and help others with their computer problems.
The children learn lots of new skills and help with any online safety issues. Two of our Year 6 leaders are ambassadors and have been participating in online events and doing activities linked to online safety working alongside other schools and professionals including the NSPCC.

The Bebras Computing Challenge introduces computational thinking to students. It is organized in over 50 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing. Each participant answer questions that focus on computational and logical thinking.

Some of the children are participating in the iDea scheme which is the digital and enterprise equivalent of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award where you take a series of badges from 5 categories, Worker, Citizen, Maker, Entrepreneur and Gamer.
