Monday Morning Walk Through

Every Monday morning you should do a quick meeting with parents and a brief walk through their house with them to establish guidelines for using their space for the day/week.

Some things to ask parents in your Monday Morning Walk Through:

• • Can you show me the outdoor space at your home would you prefer we use?

  • We will need to come inside to use the restroom. Which bathroom should we use?

  • Brief reminder that we ask that your camper’s lunch is packed and prepared ahead of time.

  • Any areas that are off limits? In the house? In the yard? Neighborhood?

  • Any house rules I should know?

  • Any pets that I should be aware of and anything I need to know about them while I am at your house?

Biking Questions for the Week:

• • If possible, we like to practice bike skills at home and go on neighborhood bike rides.

  • Is it okay if we bike in your yard/driveway?

  • Can you tell me about the available biking areas in your neighborhood? Do you feel comfortable with your child(ren) going on a neighborhood bike ride with me?

  • Are there trails/parks nearby that we could ride to today?

Other Misc. Questions:

• We may ask to use other gear this week for curriculum like a tent. Do you have a family tent you feel comfortable with us using?

• We also do a really fun gear repair activity, do you have some old clothes or packs with holes in them that we can practice sewing on?

• We will check in daily to determine what activities we are planning for the following day and I will let you know if we need anything additional like a tent or old clothes.
