What the objectives are:
Young campers will practice their ABCs and connect letters to natural elements.
What you’ll need:
No materials needed (optional: note-taking materials to keep track of the game)
What you’ll do:
As you walk, go through the alphabet identifying what you see along the trail, in your backyard, or neighborhood. Begin with “A” (ex. Acorn), then “B” (ex. Beetle), then “C” (ex. Cattail) ect.
How many times can you go through the alphabet on your walk? Alternatively, you can assign different letters to each person before you start. It’s best to write it down so people don’t forget!
