Support Services

The Office of Placement and Career Services (OPCS) provides various career programs and services to students and alumni. Its mission is to assist students in finding employment opportunities that are appropriate to their individuality.

Through a comprehensive career development program and networking with the four market sectors, the OPCS offers students the following services:

• Career Consultation - aims to guide students in their career discernment and in choosing possible career paths

• General Orientation on Transitioning to Work (GOT Work) - a four-part series where students get to hear Ateneo graduates from the five Schools (GBSEALD, SOH, JGSOM, SOSE, SOSS) talk about their job, career journey, and how they transitioned to the world of work

• Ateneo Placement Exposure (APEx) - a networking program that allows students to interact with practitioners who share their career stories, expertise, and knowledge of the industry.

• Interview Performance Appraisal and Development (IPAD) - a program designed to help students enhance their interview skills and prepare for an actual interview through simulation conducted by actual HR/Recruitment representatives from partner companies. Through IPAD, students get first-hand experience with the job interview process and have their resumes critiqued by professionals in the industry.

• Career Fair- an annual recruitment event that caters to all juniors and graduating seniors seeking employment and internship opportunities.

• Other services: Practicum/Internship assistance, Resume Writing, Company Presentations, Job Postings, Job Portal, Recruitment Talks

Job search tools and other resources are also available to assist students and recent graduates in their career development. Moreover, the OPCS conducts several surveys and research on job data, employment status, career interest, and workforce preparedness, among others. This aims to get useful information that will help assess and enhance the career preparedness and employability of Ateneo graduates.
