Research Ecosystem

The Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO) was established to provide support for the University’s IP-related activities including IP generation, IP protection, and IP commercialization. AIPO envisions itself to be the country’s leading university hub where innovative solutions are inspired, protected, and made available for society’s benefit.

AIPO has three (3) groups that represent the three main functions:

• Ideation Support 

The main function of the Ideation Support Group (ISG) is to help the university and its partners generate Intellectual Property (IP) that is useful, relevant, and potentially commercializable.

• Protection and Education

The main function of Protection and Education Group (PEG) is to educate creators on safeguarding intellectual properties.

• Commercialization and Business Incubation

The main function of the Commercialization and Business Incubation Group (CBIG) is to commercialize the IP generated by the university. It also manages The Blue Nest Incubation Program.
