Committee on Graduate Student Concerns (CGSC)
Established in SY 2009-2010, the CGSC represents graduate student interests in the policy-making and administration of the University. It consists of student representatives from each department, either nominated or elected by the graduate students or appointed by the department chair when such procedure is not feasible. The term of the representative is one school year. If circumstances cause the representative to end his/her term earlier, the department chair designates a replacement for the duration of the term of the original representative. The Assistant Vice President for Graduate Education, as an adviser, provides guidance and support that will enable the Committee to perform well in its role of attending to graduate student concerns.

Members of the CGSC are designated to be representatives in the Administrative Council and the various School Council committees. The following councils and committees of the university have graduate student representation:

Representatives for the respective councils and committees have voting and deliberating rights. They are also expected to attend and actively participate in the meetings of particular Committees assigned to them. The University Administration may also request the CGSC to appoint a representative to an ad hoc committee for a particular concern. The CGSC also collaborates with the Office of the AVP for Graduate Education & other offices of the Ateneo de Manila University for events/activities pertinent to graduate students.
As a graduate student of the Ateneo de Manila University, you are highly encouraged to raise your concerns, give regular feedback, and make suggestions on how policies may be improved through your representatives.
