6th Grade Family and Consumer Science class is a required course giving students the opportunity to explore the work of the family and development of home alone skills. Topics will include: personality, self esteem, relationships and families, friendships, communication, basic food preparation, and a unit in sewing machine safety and use. Students will complete an 18” x 21” pillow for their sewing project. There is a $7.00 sewing fee to cover the costs of materials needed for the sewing project.
