The English Language Arts program offered at Parkview is based on the Units of Study by Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University and uses a workshop approach with the foundation set by the Wisconsin Standards for ELA. Students will be doing various units of study including reading dystopian literature and analyzing craft and theme; reading research critically to develop position papers; studying craft in narrative nonfiction; and critically analyzing contemporary fiction.
