8th Grade Math

Students in 8th Grade Math will be covering the following CPM curriculum and concepts: Simplifying with Variables, Linear Graphs and Equations, Multiple Representations, Systems of Equations, Transformations and Similarity, Slope and Association, Exponents and Functions, Angles and the Pythagorean Theorem, Surface Area and Volume.  These topics offer a challenge for many students as the math curriculum moves into greater abstract thinking and algebra. Basic skills such as fractions and integers will continue to be important for all students to understand with the goal of mastery by the end of eighth grade.
