In S2, the classes are mixed ability and currently have 4 periods comprising of 4 periods of Maths and 1 period of Numeracy

Assessment

A block assessment will take place every term. This is a timed, closed book assessment, without the use of a calculator. However, multiplication squares are permitted if required.

The assessments over the course of the year will be used to recommend progression in S3 and set classes.

Homework

In S2, pupils can expect a homework every week. Homework is posted on Microsoft Teams as an assignment. They will mainly consist of a MyMaths task or a Quiz. Pupils typically get a week to complete their homework.
