S1 English
In S1 English pupils are taught in mixed ability classes and have four periods of English and one period of Literacy per week. Pupils work on a variety of different tasks covering BGE outcomes for English and Literacy. Pupils are given the opportunity to study a variety of texts from different genres including poetry, prose, drama and media.
Pupils have one timetabled period per fortnight at the library and are encouraged to read regularly.
