S3 English
In S3 English pupils are taught in sets, based on work and assessments carried out in S2. This allows teachers to tailor their approach according to need. Pupils continue to make progress by following BGE outcomes and experiences in Reading, Writing, Listening and Talking. Pupils visit the library once per fortnight for personal reading.
In class, pupils are given the opportunity to explore a variety of genres of texts including poetry, prose, drama and media. Bedrock, vocabulary homework is given weekly with further completed via Teams.
During the course of S3 pupils will complete literacy assessments.
