HOPE Reporting
The following information will assist the counselors with extracting transcripts from IC for upload into the STARS application for HOPE Calculation Verification. Always confirm that final term grades have been verified and posted to the transcript before running the HOPE Extract. Once the extract file has been created from IC, the file can be uploaded into the STARS application under the Transcript option.
IC HOPE Transcript Extract
1. Select the Index tab.
2. Select GA State Reporting.
3. Select HOPE Extract w/GPA and Test Score.
4. Locate the Calendar for the school year and school name.
5. Select the Grade Level(s) needed. (Use the Ctrl key or the Shift key to make multiple selections).
6. De-Select Include withdrawn student and/or Exclude 999#s (not required).
7. Click Continue.
8. Select the All Students option or Select the Specific Student needed for the extract.
9. Enter Diploma Date.
If prior to the Graduation Date leave blank
If students have graduated, enter the school's graduation date.
10. Select Yes: Student(s) has graduated or No: If the student(s) has not graduated.
11. For GPA Type 1 select Unweighted
12. For GPA Type 2 select Weighted.
13. Click Download File to generate the transcript extract. (Make a note of where the file folder the extract was downloaded to upload to STARS)
14. The HOPE transcript extract file you created will show in your download folder or designated file on your computer. This file will be uploaded into STARS.
STARS Transcript Upload
Log into STARS and locate the Transcript option on the left side of the screen.
Select the Upload Transcripts option.
Select Choose File to locate the transcript extract file created in IC.
Once the file is selected, click Upload File.
