Attendance Messenger is used to notify students, guardians, and staff about attendance and school events. It may also be used for teacher, school, and district messaging. Messages are delivered via email and/or phone. Verify that all household relationships and demographic information is up-to-date on the recipients receiving the messages.

Attendance Messenger
Allows users to create templates for messaging student guardians regarding attendance events.
1. From Main Menu, select Attendance Office > Attendance Messenger
2. Choose the grade level of the students to receive the message ( Ad Hoc filter optional)
3. Select the Status (e.g. Absent)
4. Select the Excuse (e.g. Unknown)
5. Select the minimum periods that a student must have the given status and excuse for the message to generate (this is a trigger value).
6. Check the Delivery Devices (e.g. Inbox or Email)
7. Enter the Message Subject.
8. Type the letter or message in the Message Body.
10. Enter Delivery Date and Time.
11. If you wish to save the template, at the top of the screen, click Save button next to the New Template drop-down.
12. Enter name for template.
13. Click OK.
Attendance Messenger Scheduler
Select a template from the Attendance Messenger Schedules table.
Enter the Schedule Name.
Select a Calendar. This option defaults to the calendar selected in the toolbar.
Enter the Start Date in mmddyy format or click the calendar icon to select a date.
Enter the Time of the message.
Choose how often to send the message by selecting an option from the Recurring Frequency dropdown list.
Mark the Send Confirmation Email checkbox to receive an email when the message has been sent. A confirmation email will be sent to the person who set up the schedule.
Select the Save icon when finished. The new schedule will appear below its respective template in the Attendance Messenger Schedules table.
If the Attendance Messenger should be disabled, mark the Disabled checkbox. If disabled, no future messages will be sent for the schedule.
