Physical Education

Physical education gives students psychomotor, cognitive and affective content and learning experiences that promote optimum personal development. The Physical Education curriculum follows the Connecticut Healthy and Balanced Living Curriculum Framework which provides a blueprint for how students can live an active and healthy life. The curriculum is designed to motivate children and youth to maintain and improve their health, prevent disease, reduce health-related risk behaviors and develop and demonstrate health-related knowledge, attitudes, skills and practices.

CONNECTICUT HEALTHY AND BALANCED LIVING CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK
