The most typical math sequence at Timothy Edwards Middle School is Math 6 --> Math 7 --> Math 8 (Math 8 was previously named Pre-Algebra). In this sequence, students thoroughly explore grade level content standards and are prepared for the study of Algebra at the high school level. Students on this pathway have access to all high school math courses through AP Statistics and AP Calculus, should they want/choose to. 

Math 6 students explore 6th grade common core math standards. The accelerated pathway is a more intense workload and moves at a faster pace. Any student placed on a specialized pathway of 6th grade Accelerated II, 7th grade Algebra, and 8th grade Geometry has met specific, rigorous criteria.
