Out-of-School Learning

The purpose of out of school learning is to promote learning opportunities in a variety of settings that are educational, safe, and enjoyable for students. As per board policies and procedures, the Director of Education encourages, where possible and appropriate, the extension of the school learning environment to the neighbourhood and beyond. 

Permission to participate in a neighbourhood excursion is covered by the Student Information Form that is completed in September or upon registration. Families are notified ahead of time before a walking excursion takes place. For other field trips, permission forms will be sent home and any money required for the trip will be collected through School Cash Online.
