School Council

School Council meets a minimum of four times a year.

The first meeting of the School Council will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026

Elections are held at the first meeting.
Meetings begin at 5PM in the School Library.

Volunteering

CSS welcomes parents and community members' involvement at schools and in school activities. Procedure 498: Volunteers in Schools (Pdf) and Procedure 498 Form 2: Volunteer Information (Pdf) outline the responsibilities and expectations of a volunteer.

The principal is responsible for determining the volunteering needs for the school and overseeing the selection process. Volunteers will be asked to provide references, and are also required to provide an acceptable vulnerable sector criminal record check before being approved.

To volunteer at CSS, please reach out to the office or your student’s teacher to begin the process.

Community Partners

CSS is thankful for our strong community partner relationships with the Belleville Police Services (BPS), and the Southeast Public Health Unit (SPEHU), and the Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation (HPELF).

Constable Hans Verbeek with the BPS is our Community Resource Officer.
Emma Gaylord with the SEPHU is our school Nurse and accessible to students on Thursdays.
We are fortunate to participate in many programs through the HPELF including Food for Learning, the Community Sharing Cupboard, the Student Emergency Fund, and Prom Project.
