The Bachelor of Arts in Theology (BATh) degree program aims to enrich students' perspectives and deepen their understanding of Christian ministry. It allows students to specialize in areas such as biblical studies, theology, or ministerial studies. After completing two years of study, students can choose minor emphases. The undergraduate program is structured to be completed within four years, though students have the option to extend their studies up to six years. This flexibility accommodates a course load ranging from 9 to 18 units per semester, with a minimum requirement of 12 credits per year to maintain full-time student status.
At Antiochene Academy, the BATh degree is an undergraduate qualification requiring applicants to hold a high school diploma. The program emphasizes significant contributions to Christian theology through published works, dissertations, or a combination thereof. The Antiochene Academy is transitioning to a three-year BATh program with additional fieldwork and distance education options, aiming to become the ideal degree for ordination in diasporic Christian congregations. Additionally, we offer a five-year integrated Master of Divinity (MDiv) program with specialized research tracks in pastoral ministry and leadership, in which the BATh degree program of studies is referred to as the Baccalaureate in Divinity & Ministry Degree Program (BAMin) part of the 5 year program.
