IDENTITY FLAG PROJECT
Reflection Questions
1.List 5 aspects of your identity represented in your flag: Yellow layer: My happy exterior, full of jokes and positivity. Green Layer: My more focused, calm side, who can be there for you when needed. Jagged, Black layer: My anxiety, which no matter how hard I try, is always under there, spiking up. Stars: The four stars represent the four members of my family (Me, my mom, my dad, and my brother), and the star shape represents my creativity.
2. What was the most challenging component of this assignment? Definitely keeping the simplicity. I wanted so badly to turn this into a colorful, complex masterpiece, but I think I did a good job.
3. What would you add if you had more time? Nothing! Again, this is as simple as I could bear to keep it, and I don't wanna ruin that.
4. How did this assignment help you learn more about your own identity? In a funny way, it kind of confirmed what I already knew about my personality, really the artistic side of it.
FINAL INFORMATIONAL REPORT
Learning Target: I can create an informative, visual presentation that teaches my class about a topic I'm interested in, set in Eastern Asia.
1. How did you utilize independent work time during class to complete your report? I think I could have utilized it better, and been less distracted, but I also think I did some good work during the time, and got help when I needed it.
2. High Quality Work is a pillar of academic success at Anser. How does your report show your knowledge of your topic and high quality work? I have multiple paragraphs, a slideshow with decorative elements and images (with captions), and (hopefully) engaging writing.
3. What would you add if you had more time? Probably just more subheadings with more information.
4. What would you tell yourself at the beginning of this project to ensure success during presentation time? Don't stress because you missed a week, it'll be okay even if it feels overwhelming at times.
I made a tea box for a tea blend I thought sounded pretty good, using alcohol markers for the colors. The tea it would hold is a plain white tea, with peppermint leaves and manuka honey. To brew the tea, you steep the bags for eight minutes in boiling water, then mix in the honey packet and stir.
REFLECTION QUESTIONS
1. Write about one over all idea you learned about tea: I learned that tea comes in many flavors, and the way you use each flavor is very important. Ginger and lemon teas soothe stomachs, matcha gives you energy, etc.
2. What are you most proud of about your tea box? Creativity? Craftsmanship? Your witty title? Your tea recipe? I'm most proud of my tea box design, I think that it doesn't really look like something that would hold tea. I really liked using the alcohol markers.
3. What would you do if you had more time? I would definitely make a fake tea bag to go in the box, some of my friends did and I just didn't have time.
