Collage!
Our collage project is to express ourselves, making two covers of a book to bind together.
For the front cover, I chose mostly warm colors, and made it one continuous collage. The airplane images are very meaningful because aviation is a huge part of my life, my dad is a pilot, my grandpa built planes, and I hope to be able to fly one eventually too.
The Inside of my book is two separate collages, so let's start with the first. It has mainly cool colors, and an image of a hummingbird, which represents how I can bring energy to hard situations. The other has lots of colors, and a large tear with a dragon's eye looking through. This is because I can usually be super energetic and happy, but can easily get mad and let out the beast inside. Also, I love dragons, and they're a large part of my personality.
As the final project of the year, we bound our two collages together with signatures to create books. I chose to use six signatures, each with six pages in it (36 pages total). I used the Coptic stitch, which was difficult at first, but when I got the hang of it, it went by quickly.
