Clay Pinch-Pot Project

My clay Pinch-pot Project was a giant panda, holding a shoot of bamboo. I began by shaping two pinch-pots out of clay, one larger than the other. I then attached the two, to create the body and the head (being sure to make a hole inside, so it wouldn't blow up in the kiln). After creating the appendages and details, we fired it in the kiln. After it was fired, I painted five layers of glaze onto it, then into the kiln for a second bake. after the second bake, it was shiny, and the correct colors (because glaze is a different color after you fire it). The colors aren't exactly how I wanted them, and in some places, the black color shows through the white, and makes it look kind of diseased, but the bamboo turned out a lot better than I expected it to be.
