After exploring the 9 main world religions, we split into groups and decided on a topic to research. My group is: Me, Bethani, Trey. and Tanin. We chose Hinduism.
The World Religion Research Presentation Purpose: To practice researching, group collaboration, and speaking/presenting skills. Learning Target: I can teach my crew about a World Religion I have researched. I can contribute to my research group presentation. I can be an active listener by asking relevant questions to the presenters.
Reflection Questions
1. What do you know now that you didn't before you started your research? Hinduism is the oldest known religion in the world, and has no one founder. It also is a mismatch of many different religions, and is followed differently depending on your preferences. Hindus believe that elephants are sacred.
2. What advice do you have to someone else who is researching World Religions? Check all your sources, and be sure to be unbiased based on your own religion. also, every second to work is worth it, I was sick for some of it, and had to rush to finish my slides. use your time wisely.
3. What would you research or add to your presentation that you didn't have time for? More info on holidays and traditions, as well as more slides in general. I also might add more pictures/diagrams, and visual aids.
4. What proof do you have that you met our learning targets? I contributed multiple slides to our presentation, and used my clearest voice. Despite being absent for a couple days, I still tried my best to catch up and be a part of the presentation, as well as being the team's human spellcheck.
