Purpose: The purpose of the Slingshot Project is to practice recording the steps of a project on a web-portfolio.
I begin by cutting out a 5 x 3 inch piece of wood with a hand saw, which will become my slingshot.
With the cutout of wood, I used a measuring tool to make a stencil for the slingshot.
Using the stencil, I cut out my slingshot from the wood.
(I'm not the best at aiming, I was trying to hit the screen.)
Describe the final results: I'm pretty proud of this slingshot, it works okay, and the only thing that I would change is that the cut was off center.
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this project? Using a Jigsaw isn't as hard as I originally thought.
What advice would you give to future students about this project? Don't get wood chips in your eyes, it hurts.
What else would you like to try that you didn't have time for? A rounded shape instead of all right angle cuts.
What proof do you have that shows you learned the project’s purpose? I didn't cut my finger off, and my slingshot actually works.
