Recuerden regresar sus libros de texto a la escuela.
Remember to bring your text book back to school whenever possible.
¡Última semana!
¡Felicidades por haber terminado la escuela secundaria! I hope most of you have taken the time to visit this humble Spanish page and read my messages. If you are reading this now, then, it means you know BOOKS ARE DUE, no excuses, finish product only. I wish we could have had the chance to do this for real, in class, sharing them between all of us and then with the little kids. They do love to listen to you reading!
Please come to zoom on Wednesday to catch up and finalize details. Also, because I need to take a screenshot with all of you for a montage I need to make. Ideally, you all will be saying something in Spanish, so.... any ideas?
¡Nos vemos el miércoles!
Para el miércoles
See below the rubric for your book. Read carefully; all items must be covered. As a final project, it is important that you do this with the effort it deserves.
Also: always read what's on the discussion board on showbie. I keep posting things there that have information you need.
My zoom rules: show your face, mute your mic, be present.

Semana de abril 13.
Buenos días a todos. Esta semana vamos a discutir los temas de sus libros. Por favor, escriban en un doc el tema y el mensaje que quieren compartir al resto de la escuela. Pongan el doc en sus grupos de Showbie.
(what is this? has Ms Andrea gone crazy? what did she just say??, well, try to figure it out, it's not as hard as it looks. Then, if you still don't know, feel free to google translate.)
Share in your showbie group your thoughts.
(psssst! ¿están ahí? are you there? someone passed me this secret recipe. Don't tell anyone: quesadillas )
Week of April 6
Hola a todos. As with your other classes, you will now submit all work to Showbie (easier to keep track). You can still submit the last assignment on Teams and if you had trouble listening to the recording (for actividad 6) we will go over it live on zoom on Wednesday. Check on Teams everyday too, since I will still post there and we can interact too.
Resistiré
I hope you had a chance to listen to the song (here it is again with lyrics ). Attached are the lyrics en español with all verbs in bold. Most of these verbs are in tenses you might not know or recognize, but that is not important when one learns a song. What I want you to do is to write down what infinitive (basic form of the verb) they belong to, e.g. resistiré = resistir which means to resist. I know you can google-translate it, but try to use a dictionary. Word Reference is a very good one.
Below are the lyrics:
Our Zoom meeting time is Wednesdays 1:00-2:00
I'll be there to answer questions and general check in at 1:00 but then you all will go work on your own.
¡Hola a todos! Here's the sign I made in honor of all of you, your hard work and your accomplishments this year. I brought it to the parade of May 7th and it ended at Sam's :-). I hope you continue to soar to new levels. Usen su curiosidad y no se limiten. Han aprendido cosas muy importantes estos días, no lo desaprovechen.
¡FELICIDADES CLASE DEL 2020!
2 de abril, 2020
Muy bien chiques (chicos y chicas), here's a song and a challenge for you. I know you can go and search online for the lyrics, and that's ok, but try to first listen to the whole song and take notes of what words can you identify. Maybe listen a couple of times. Then look for the lyrics and do not translate yet. Read, check for cognates and a few sentences you understand. Send me a note with what you think the song is about.

Also check Teams for new assignment.
here's the flipgrid:
Go to Teams and check our conversation. Also, if you didn't do the flipgrid, please do it now (check the video again for vocabulary and your book (p 96) for el cuarto de Ignacio.
After you review that lesson in the book, do the excercise noted on Teams
Lunes 30 de marzo
Hey there!! I've missed you guys!. I will try and make a video for you telling you about my vacaciones de primavera (yeah, right) soon, but in the meantime, remember to check here daily and to check Teams daily too. Everyone should be able to get there via Microsoft office. Bare with me because I'm only starting to learn how to use the Notebook and stuff (Mr Merisch has been kind enough to help me through that), but meanwhile, please do your flipgrid (if you haven't done so) and be ready to continue developing your legacy books (yes, we are still doing them, only, this time they will be individual books).
We will continue working with the book, learning placement of things and how to describe where things are. We will make maps and many other things. Also, for everyone, that link on the post below has a bunch of very useful videos for learning Spanish. Test yourselves! Did you know there are three happy words in Spanish? Oh, sí. Anyway, cuídense (take care), lávense muy bien las manos (wash hands thoroughly) y ¡nos vemos pronto!
Miss maestra Andrea? Here she is!
