After the quiz, we discussed the rules for an arithmetic sequence, how to write an equation for the nth term of the sequence, and how to find a specific term. Students took notes and did a few practice problems in their notebook.

Students continued with concepts on real numbers today to prep for tomorrow's quiz. We reviewed HW and discussed feedback from yesterday's assessment on identifying rational and irrational numbers. Students also practiced on Desmos Card Sort and Buzz Math "Ordering and Comparing Irrational Numbers."

More practice with classifying real numbers . . . students completed a check in assessment. We also worked on approximating square roots to the nearest tenth.

We corrected the preassessment and used the solutions to find patterns to identify rational and irrational numbers. Students then shared their ideas and tried categorizing numbers based on these rules. Together we came up with a list of rules for identifying rational and irrational numbers and copied them into our notebook.
