For Wed, May 27:

1. Full grade Zoom at 12noon - check email for link.

2. Vote on Class of 2020 Legacy Gift

3. Review Personal Creed examples and requirements

4. Finish and resubmit FINAL Personal Creed to Showbie by 4pm today (May 28)

For Wed, May 20:

  1. No Zoom today but email me if you have questions.
  2. Refamiliarize yourself with the Nicene Creed. It's the statement of faith we say at every mass and contains the pillars of the Catholic faith.
  3. Personal Creed Project
  • Share a DRAFT of your Personal Creed with me on Showbie. Make sure you follow the requirements for each of the 4 STANZAS. Drafts are due by 4pm today (May 20).

2. Announcing 2020 Graduation Reflection Speech + Pin day/Grad Readers

3. Personal Graduation Reflection - These must be original reflections by you and will be published in the graduation program. If you do not submit one or you submit one that is not appropriate, it will be left out of the program. Submit by Wed, May 13 - TODAY!!

4. Vote for Graduation Readings + Graduation Quote - Submit TODAY Wed May 13

2) Planning the Lectio Divina

Parts of the Lectio Divina:

  1. Lectio (Reading)
  2. Meditatio (Reflection)
  3. Oratio (Response)
  4. Contemplio (Rest)
  5. Closing prayer


To plan your Lectio Divina:

Determine what Gospel passage you are using (link attached)

  1. Get to passage in bibles
  2. Opening prayer
  3. Reading: Read Bible passage
  4. Meditate: Reflection questions (3-5) students will reflect on. Students write in religion notebook. Choose peaceful reflection music to play during Contemplio
  5. Respond: Allow tables time to reflect and share responses with each other.
  6. Contemplate: Share out to entire class what you discussed and what you can take with you for the day/week from the reflection.
  7. Closing prayer

**Share document or slideshow with teacher which should include the following in order:

  • Opening Prayer
  • Gospel reading from Matthew, Mark, Luke or John (bible notation, not page number) -- do not copy & paste the passage (we'll get Bibles)
  • Discussion questions (3-5 total) -- open response questions (questions that begin with why/how that relate to your passage)
  • Link to meditation music
  • Closing prayer
