8th Grade Religion Units & Links

For Wed, May 20:

1. No Zoom today but email me if you have questions.
2. Refamiliarize yourself with the Nicene Creed. It's the statement of faith we say at every mass and contains the pillars of the Catholic faith.
3. Personal Creed Project

• Share a DRAFT of your Personal Creed with me on Showbie. Make sure you follow the requirements for each of the 4 STANZAS. Drafts are due by 4pm today (May 20).

1. Mandatory Zoom for all 8th graders at 12noon. (See email for Zoom link.)

2. Announcing 2020 Graduation Reflection Speech + Pin day/Grad Readers

3. Personal Graduation Reflection - These must be original reflections by you and will be published in the graduation program. If you do not submit one or you submit one that is not appropriate, it will be left out of the program. Submit by Wed, May 13 - TODAY!!

2. Sign up for Graduation Readings (if you would like to participate/read) Submit by May 6.

3. Complete Graduation Readings Options for each tab (each student must submit for each tab). Done May 6 (today)

2. Begin uploading Mass Journals (6) to Showbie by May 1 (Confirmation students only).
3. Make the card for first responders (see email from Ms. Key yesterday "AACA's 1000 Cards")
4. Work on your service project reflection:
   • Requirements are listed on the last page.
   • Reflection should be typed, in paragraphs, and answer all of the required questions.
   • Will be submitted on Showbie by today at 4pm.

U4: Grace & Gifts of the Holy Spirit

For Wed, April 15:

• Test on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit
  • 8Jeffrey Zoom 12-12:30pm for test
  • 8Key Zoom 12:30-1pm for test

For Wed, April 8 (No Zoom):

• Submit your Stained Glass Window Reflection to Showbie by 4pm today. Make sure you change the settings of the document so that "anyone with the link can view."
• Test on Gifts of the Holy Spirit on Wed, April 15 (next Wed). Use guided notes as study guide.

For class Wed, April 1 (due Wed, April 8)

• Ch. 16 Guided notes w/Catholic Connections - you should have this somewhere . . . use for Gifts of Holy Spirit Test on Wed, April 15. If you want to use this on your test, you will need to submit to Ms. Key before April 15.
• Stained Glass Window Reflection Requirements - share with Ms. Key by Wed, April 8.
