Natural Resources https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxHdUd_Q12Y
In this video Paul Andersen explains how the resources required for survival come from the Earth. The resources are not evenly distributed on the planet and neither are the humans. According to the NGSS we need to limit the use of nonrenewable resources (like oil and coal)
Human Impact https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrxZ_UqQKyI
In this video Paul Andersen explains how humans are impacting the Earth through farming, mining, pollution and climate change. According to the NGSS wise management can reduce impacts on the planet. This will become more important as developing countries start consuming more resources.
Monday: May 20, 2019: watch : Crash Course Link: 5 Impacts of Humans on Ecosystem: & answer Q's
Credible Research Resources: NOAA, NASA, National Geographic, Newsela, PBS LearningMedia, Britannica, Encyclopedia.com, http://www.climatehotmap.org/
1. What does skepticism have to do with science?
2. What wiped out the Viking settlements in Greenland?
3. What can Renaissance and Baroque art tell us about climate change?
4. Could there be a connection between solar activity and earth's climate cycles?
5. Why are polar ice caps melting - on Mars?
6. what if climate change is due to forces beyond our control?
7. Why are people being urged to accept only one theory about global warming?
8 How should we weigh costs and benefits of proposed actions to combat warming?
9. What if drastic cuts in fossil fuel use would cause more human suffering than warming itself?
2. How does a paleoartist influence our understanding of ancient times? What is Charles R. Knight's contribution to science?
