CW- Paper Pet Project overview
Develop a model to describe/show why asexual reproduction results in offspring with identical genetic information and sexually reproduction results in offspring with genetic variation.
Standards: RST.6-8.3 Follow Directions;
MS-LS3-2 Model asexual & sexual reproduction results.
TASK 1 - Due Thurs 4.2.20 noon
Paper Pet Trait Table + TASK 1 instructions
- Copy trait table from shared document into Sci NB.
- Select the traits for one Parent Paper Pet. Record selected phenotype + genotype (allele) for future reference.
- Create/ draw a paper pet (by hand /or computer).
- Label the genotype (alleles) and phenotype for each trait you selected next to paper pet sketch.
- Next....Create a 'mini-me' of your Parent Paper Pet to represent asexual reproduction.
- Name your Paper Pet.
