AIS WEST HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT HANDBOOK
Welcome from the Leadership Team
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to American International School! We are thrilled to embark on another exciting academic year filled with growth, challenging learning opportunities, and endless possibilities. As we kick off the 2024-2025 school year, we are deeply committed to fostering a positive climate and culture where every student can thrive and excel.
At AIS West , we aim to embody the International Baccalaureate learner profiles - Inquirers, Knowledgeable, Thinkers, Communicators, Principled, Open-Minded, Caring, Risk-Takers, Balanced, and Reflective. These profiles shape our holistic approach to education and guide us in cultivating well-rounded individuals who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
Our passionate and professional staff members are dedicated to providing a challenging and stimulating learning environment where each student's unique talents and strengths are valued and nurtured. Together, we strive to inspire a love for learning and empower students to reach their fullest potential.
As we embark on this new school year, we want to emphasize the importance of collaboration between the school, students, and parents. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for student success. By working together, we can create a supportive and enriching educational experience that lays the foundation for a lifetime of achievement.
As with any organization, we have essential expectations of students that must be met to support our learning environment and culture. We want to partner with parents to ensure our students know, understand, and adhere to the specific guidelines and expectations for our student body at AIS-West. We have compiled this handbook for your convenience and know that it will serve as a reference point for all aspects of high school life. The High School Leadership Team of AIS West and the faculty and staff are dedicated to our mission of providing a first-rate college preparatory American education for your child. We are excited about working with each AIS family to develop their students' character, skills, and passion to be a positive member of our school community.
We look forward to working with you and your child, and we thank you in advance for your support at home.
