Spanish AP

Full Year/ 1 Credit / Grades 10, 11, 12

Prerequisite:

A grade of C in Spanish 5 or Spanish 5 Honors and/or teacher consultation.

Course Description:

This is an intensive course that prepares students for the AP Spanish exam and the SAT II Spanish exam. The course is intended for students who will either take the AP or SAT II exam in Spanish upon completion of Spanish AP. Students taking this course in Grade 11 can go on to Spanish IB Language B Year 2 in their senior year and take the Spanish IB Language B exam in May of that year. This is a skill-building course. Students are expected to demonstrate the communicative skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in complex grammatical structures.
