IB1 SL Mathematics AI: Applications and Interpretation

IB Diploma Course Students: Grade of C or above in Geometry and Algebraic Topics.

Description:

This is being designed for students who enjoy describing the real world and solving practical problems using mathematics; those who are interested in harnessing the power of technology alongside exploring mathematical models and enjoy the more practical side of mathematics.

The main topics covered are Number and Algebra, Functions, Geometry and Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability and Calculus. About 80% of the topics in this course are identical to those in Math AA SL with more emphasis on applications.

A Graphic Display calculator is required. Please check with the school before buying a graphing calculator.

Assessment:

Tests/quizzes/exams/homework, mathematical exploration, in accordance with IBO practices
