MANIA Notes: Students will fill out the guided notes chart to explain the acronym “MANIA” and each of its individual components. Students will understand the formation of the Triple Entente and Triple Alliance, as well as how the Von Schlieffen Plan and various nationalist movements contributed to the formation of a world that could be shaken by assassination
The Day that Shook the World: Students will watch a documentary detailing a reenactment of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. They will be able to identify who Gavrilo Princip was, and how nationalistic movements contributed to the significance of the event.
