Service Learning
Every 9th grade student is required to get 15 hours of service during the school year. Service hours run from June of the summer preceding the school year to June 1st of that school year. Students must record their service hours on the log attached below and turn in to their social studies teacher.

Current Events
Even though we are studying the events of the past, history has a way of tying itself to the present day. We will frequently be discussing modern governments, current events, and other topics that may not present themselves in our history textbook. Below are some resources that I have collected and are generally teacher-approved! They cover a variety of topics and are a great jumping-off point should students want to explore other topics. I have also included a link to our library website, where our wonderful school librarians (with whom we work frequently!) have curated databases, websites, and other great materials.
