Tuesday:
What is a Revolution? Notes: students will take brief notes on the 4 characteristics of a revolution. They will use these characteristics to attempt to identify these qualities in the subsequently studied revolutions.
American Revolution Case Study: students will complete a case study on a revolution with which they are already familiar: the American Revolution. They will watch a video and answer the questions on their worksheet. They will then complete an analysis to identify the four characteristics of a revolution from the beginning of class in the American Revolution.

Scientific Revolution Textbook Hunt: students will use the worksheet and their textbook (Topic 1 Lesson 5) in order to research each Scientific Revolution scientist/inventor listed on the worksheet. They will record the field of study, as well as use the guided portion of the worksheet to find any important details and/or inventions.
Scientific Revolution Close Reading: students will further explore the scientific revolution by answering the section questions using their notes and the book section (Topic 1 Lesson 5)
