Counter - Reformation Notes: students will take notes on the Counter-Reformation, which was issued in response to the various breakages from the Catholic Church. Utilizing outline style notes, students will identify key concepts and response points from the Catholic Church as they attempted to re-solidify their following.
Introduce Wanted Poster Project: students will be completing a project in which they take one Protestant religion and specifically research how this reform religion was able to make changes to the belief systems of Christianity. They will evaluate how the ideas were able to spread as a result of these various reformers, and how each reformer focused on a unique aspect of their grievances with Catholicism.
The goal is to create a “wanted poster/advertisement” - convince people to join the following by detailing differences between the religion and Catholicism
Students may complete the project physically or digitally, although the same components are required. Further options include creating a video advertisement, or other type of media.

Guidelines for the Reformation Wanted Poster - students will have the choice of their type of media, although a template will be provided for creating a digital poster if needed. Students should work to complete this project during this class period.
DUE: Sunday 10/22 at 11:59PM
Students work on project, either physical or digital during this period.
Review for Exam: students may complete the study guide during class if they choose in lieu of working on the project.

Review History vs. Henry VIII Video & Questions: instructor will introduce Henry VIII and the Church of England by providing a brief history of his lineage, as well as his many wives and struggles for an heir. Students will then watch thesand answer the questions on the worksheet provided.
Students will write notes on the question as the video plays - review answers as a class at the conclusion of the video.
Other Reformers Textbook Hunt: students will use the guided notes to read and take notes from the textbook. They will then complete a map of Reformation Europe using the interactive map provided in Topic 1 Lesson 3 of the book.
Students will be assigned the appropriate sections in a “playlist” in the textbook to explore Lesson 3, Lesson 4, and an interactive map.
