DUE TODAY IN CLASS: Industrial Rev Skit Project: students will work together with their groups to come up with a 1-2 minute skit representing the issues they researched. Today, they will present their skit to the class and the class will take notes on the major themes, vocabulary, and issues presented in the skit.

Monday:
Hershey Kisses Simulation: students will simulate the economic systems of socialism and capitalism by a simulation of Hershey kisses (or similar candy/props). Students will follow teacher prompts in the direction sheet attached to complete the activity. They will fill out the reflection questions after each round to report their recollections/findings.
Rise of the Proletariat Reading: Students will complete a 3CR Worksheet on the Rise of the Proletariat. After reading, we will discuss together as a class how the issues of the Proletariat transformed into a range of social issues that were represented throughout the working classes. This will morph into a project (advertisement skit) with students sorted into one of six groups.
