Trade School Programs & Apprenticeships
Trade schools (also known as vocational schools) are specialized educational institutions that focus on a single skill-based vocation. Students attend trade school programs to quickly learn skills for their chosen career and begin working in a skilled trade. Teachers at a trade school are professionally trained. There are costs associated with enrolling at a trade school.
Apprenticeship programs prepare participants for a specific type of job while working for a company and receiving on-the-job training alongside skilled professionals. It's an opportunity to gain real-world experiences and get paid at the same time. An apprenticeship can last three to five years and might require signing a contract with the company that is providing the apprenticeship.
