If registering at WHS over the summer:
Once a student is fully registered and previous school records have been received, counselors will be conducting New Student Intake Meetings on select days during the last two weeks of August. Parents/guardians will be called to schedule a day and time to meet with their child's counselor.
If registering at WHS once the school year has begun:
A New Student Intake Meeting will be scheduled once a student is fully registered and previous school records have been received. Parents/guardians will be called to schedule a day and time to meet with their child's counselor.
During these meetings, families will have the opportunity to select elective courses, review NYS graduation requirements, their child's 4-year graduation plan, and receive a comprehensive tour of the school building. These sessions are designed to ensure a smooth transition for incoming students and their families, providing valuable information and support as they begin their experience at Westhill.

When a student registers at Westhill, their information is automatically shared with the Transportation Department. The student will then be added to the transportation system and assigned a bus route.
Bus route details will be emailed to parents/guardians:
In mid to late August for students beginning in September.
