Cell Phone Privileges

CELL PHONE PRIVILEGES

• • Students may use a cell phone before 8:10 am, during lunch, between classes and after 3:20 pm.

  • Students are to put their cell phone in a holder in assigned locations

  • If a staff member sees a student using a cell phone (from bell to bell) without permission, the staff member will ask to receive the cell phone.

  • The student may remove the cell phone battery before handing the cell phone to the staff member.

  • The cell phone will be sent to the office:

• 1. 1st offense – Pick up phone from the office after school

  2. 2nd offense – Pick up phone from the office at 3:45 pm

  3. 3rd offense or more – the student’s parent/guardian may pick up the cell from the main office. Another person may pick up the cell phone with parent/guardian permission and principal approval following designated time.

• • The main office will keep track of student offenses. (OFFENSES ARE PER YEAR)

• Note: If a student refuses to give their cell phone to a staff member or is disrespectful to the staff member, more disciplinary action will be taken.
