LCD

The backplate is held down with internal clips, place a spudger inbetween the backplate and the midframe and py the backplate away from the device.

Once the clips are free, the backplate should be easily removed.

First remove the battery connector before you do anything else internally.

Gently lift under the battery cables to free the connector.

Remove the 6x screws holding the battery in place.

The motherboard has 6x screws (red dots) and 8 connectors (green dots) that all have to be removed before removing the motherboard.

The LCD cable is located under the motherboard. Be careful not to pull on it to hard it can easily be ripped.

The digitizer only has 1 connector, lift this connector up.

Insert a spudger inbetween the digitizer and the midframe. the adhesive they use is very strong, so once you have some pulled up and can pry (pushing against the digitizer so not to scratch the glass) and it will pull up most if not all the glass without leaving any behind.

DO NOT use heat on these devices, the lcd is poorly made and the midframe is plastic, a heat gun will damage them.

DO NOT use acetone as a cleaner on this device, it will ruin the LCD.

Once the digitizer is removed the lcd can be easily removed, just be careful not to rip the lcd cable.
